Tony Kart West - Cal State Karting Series Adams Report 4-7-11

It has been a while since Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside, California had hosted a major kart race. It is, however, a landmark in Southern California karting, having been at the same location for over fifty years. It is a definite throwback to old school kart tracks with a tight, twisty layout and high curbs that punish the drivers and is notoriously difficult to pass on.

The Cal State Karting event would mean another busy weekend for Tony Kart West, with ten drivers competing in eight classes aboard the green and white chassis. At the end of the weekend the team’s drivers came home with tons of new hardware after winning six of the day’s mains as well as scoring a second place.

The team would fare strongly in the Gatorz Karting Cup’s Rotax classes as well. John Wallace, racing in the Rotax Senior class, would convert a qualifying run into a win in the heat race as he finished a huge seven seconds ahead of the next kart....Click Here
